There’s a new sitcom called Love that Girl. The first four episodes came on TV One today. They’re hoping that folks will like the show and they’ll get picked up for more episodes. I thought it was sort of funny. But then, I’m going through a there-are-no-black-sitcoms-on-TV-these-days withdrawal. Here’s an article about it:

And here’s the promotional ad:
I think it could get better if they are given a chance. But it seems a lot better than any of the black shows that are on right now…
What do you think?

I caught one episode, the one with the sister needing a kidney. The brother is off the chain. I’ve seen him in a few commercials. The girl who worked for his dad, was too funny.
I hope they give it a chance. It would be nice to see something new.

LOL. I thought the same thing about the brother, LaShaunda! He made me laugh even when I didn’t want to laugh and was like, ‘you wrong for laughing at that…’ Him and that little hood rat receptionist made the show for me. I really liked them. The rest were okay… I think if given a chance the show could actually turn out to be “watchable.” There’s nothing else on right now…

Sounds like it could be good, Gwen. We do need more Black shows on the air, period.
We need more.

I know, Tyhitia! It took a minute to really hit me how little there is on the tube right now. I mean we at least used to have a black night… Thursdays in the late 80s and early 90s. Mondays in the late 90s… now… nada!

I saw it for the first time the other night. It was the one where she first got her real estate license.
I also loved the brother, he totally steals any scene he’s in.

Speaking of muse, I need something to jumpstart mines as we speak. *sigh*
Common is an excellent lyricist. I need to check out Goapele.
